OneStream Live, remote from Finland · Senior Software Engineer
A multistreaming platform used by 2M+ people. I designed the frontend architecture of its main web app and build across it, down to the Node services. I led Studio, its flagship browser studio, end to end on WebRTC and Effect.

Responsive React interfaces on REST and the Google Maps API, faster pages, and the SEO work that grew organic traffic.
React, Bootstrap, Google Maps API
Studio joins and loads in half the time it used to.
Three portals, one billing system, payments in real time.
Next.js 12 to 13, soon after release, with nothing broken.
Faster pages and the SEO work that grew organic traffic.
A note from me
I started on the front end, turning Figma files into React components and caring about how fast a page feels. That part has not changed.
What changed is how far I follow a problem: from the component down to the API behind it. These days I write Node services as readily as components.
I like leading teams and solving problems. I have run estimates, code review and delivery for teams of six and seven engineers, and written the standards we kept.

It validates email addresses. Mostly.
Every line by hand.
Stack Overflow open in fourteen tabs. A missing semicolon was an afternoon.
Autocomplete has opinions.
It finished my variable names. Sometimes with somebody else's.
Copilot writes the function.
I pressed Tab. Then I deleted half of it.
Chat explains my old code.
Including the code I wrote last year and no longer recognise.
Agents open the pull request.
I review every line. It still forgot the tests.
Mostly prompting.
The tools changed. Reading every line before it ships did not.
